LUCKY PEN OF THE UKKONEN TEAM

This pen has been used by the Ukkonen team since 1985 to sign all contracts with players. This simple Ukkonen tradition signifies the willingness of our owners to take a risk on new recruits as they take their place on the team. In signing the contract, our team owners affirm their belief in the potential of these young men to make a great future for Ukkonen.

Players come to Ukkonen from other leagues around the hockey world, and many of them migrate to other teams after playing for us. But each recruit that holds this pen in his hand at the moment he formally joins the team is forever linked to past and future generations of Ukkonen players.

We believe this pen has a special power to transform individual hockey dreams into shared victory for the franchise. Our “lucky” pen is one small part of the magic of Ukkonen.
